I was quite fortunate to be given the day off on Wednesday, gave me a chance to spend more time with my 2 girls. It was great timing as well cos’ Jas was down with the flu and really needed to see the doctor for some medication. So Cherise was left to my care in the morning after her feed while her mummy paid a quick visit to the neighbourhood GP. Thank God for His superb timing, Cherise slept very well when mummy was out and woke up for her feed just as Jas got home. Thank God for watching over Jas as well, there was no fever and the medication worked fast for her.
Anyway, since I was going to be home the whole day, I decided to give Jas the day off and handle everything…from baby to laundry to cooking the rice and all. The only thing Jas needed to do was to wake up and feed the baby when it was time. Little did I know that this Daddy Daycare business was going to be THAT tough! Perhaps it was because she slept too much in the morning, the little princess decided to stay awake all afternoon. That is not a good thing cos’ she hates being left alone for too long so I had to either put her on the mattress and entertain her or carry her around the house in the sling (she gets bored VERY easily so she needs a new environment every once in a while). It was an impossible task putting her to sleep even when she was clearly tired and cranky. I really have to hand it to Jas, she had to deal with this every day!
Even then, it was so rewarding just to see how her face lights up when I play with her. I literally melt when she started cooing and responding to me when I spoke to her. How can anyone resist such an adorable baby!!! Every smile she gave me made me wish I could be here every moment so that I don’t miss out on any of her little antics. I used to say to Jas that if I could breastfeed, I’ll quit my job and be a stay at home dad ha ha!
Anyway, here are some pics of her when I was playing with her…so cute!!!

I was making funny faces at her…

check out her tongue!! I stuck out my tongue and she did the same…so clever!
Here’s a random pic I took…I told Jas that she reminded me of Tweety Bird…must be the chubby cheeks!

“I tawd I taw a puddy cat”!!!
